Papa Goes to School

I went to school last week. I am getting a Masters in Public Administration. This program is mostly for law enforcement folks. We have our classes in this small builing on the edge of campus.

We go to class starting on Sunday at 1:00 and then go every day from 8:00 to 4:30 unitil Thursday afternoon. Friday morning we have a test and then go home. I stay in a hotel and eat out.

This weeks class was about leadership, but had a lot of team building stuff.

This was the instructor. Not typical for these classes.

I have now finished three classes and have three more classes to go plus a final project. I should be done in about a year. It is real good to be back home.

Cold Winter Months

We are going crazy organizing and fixing up our house.
Can you believe this empty computer cabinet???? It used to look like the sample picture of a potential electrical fire. See the empty space, the organized wires? Wow!!!

This is the piece de resistaunce. Jon invented a modem drawer.
That got rid of half of the ratted up wires.

And I redid the downstairs bathroom in one weekend. Quite a change!

Now I've moved on to the kitchen and am meticulously painting the trim white. I may not live till it is all done... And then there are cabinets.... And more rooms....

Now you know how we are spending our cold winter months.

Warm Hearts, Cold Toes.

Last week Jon and I went to Utah for Eli's baby blessing.
Isn't he cute?

He and his mommy learned to go out shopping.
His cousin Elisabeth enjoyed it a lot.

We got to spend lots of time with Elisabeth who is seven months going on three years.

Here she is trying out driving.

Here she is checking out her new cousin. She wants to poke him in his eyes.

She has the whole world to explore and uses every moment to do so!

She thought her papa was fun.

I felt like a real grandma at the end of the visit when she took time to crawl into my lap and stay long enough for a big hug!!

This is my favorite mountain. In the morning it is pink.

We came back to Atlanta and everyone said it was cold, but in Utah it was zero and snowing!!!!!! I'm so glad to live in Georgia!

But the snow sure is lovely...
