Miriam's blessing

After graduation, we hurried to Iowa for Miriam's blessing.

Tomorrow, Elisabeth turns 2. Happy Birthday!!!!
We celebrated it last week by letting her open all her gifts. One was this tent. She and her 2 cousins enjoyed it a lot!

Here is our little newcomer that we came to celebrate! She has gained almost 3 pounds.

Here she is meeting her grandpa. I held her most of the time I was with her, so...not many pictures of her this time.

Elisabeth is a person on the go. Every time she sat on someone's lap, I took a picture. Here she is on her cousin Rose's lap. She ADORES her older cousins!

On Brenda's lap. I had to take that picture even if it was in the chapel (before church).

She's holding still! Gorgeous.

This is the heirloom christening dress that almost every Hachtman (both male and female) for 100 years has been christened in. And it is still beautiful and white.

Elisabeth's new red Wizard of Oz church shoes from Aunt Reva.

The other grandparents. Great to see them!

Andrew, on leave from Iraq, with his bride, Rachael.

Keep him in your prayers. He gets shot at most days while trying to install electricity.

Here is the family of 4 walking the Mormon Handcart Park trail.

Lovely celebration, thank you for aharing your photos. I love the idea of heirloom christening gowns being passed through generations. It is like a piece of eveybody's lives is passed into the future to be shared and remembered....best wishes Dana
