5 Coats of Paint
I have just a week with no grandchildren, so I'm going crazy painting walls - I started redoing all the inside in 2007 and want to get it over with!!!
I'm trying to create some similarity between the rooms, so the house deceptively appears more open - like new homes are...

It took 3 coats to cover up the deep red with cream in the Dining Room. (OK, but it was so boring to have the Dining Room the same color as the hall.)
Then I bravely, and tentatively, have added 2 faux coats of metallic gold. What do you think????

I want to finish up today while all the furnisher is in the middle of the room (no small task to move!)

Maybe more some brass in the kitchen would be fun! Am I getting out of control with this metal look?

I can't really get a good feel for what it looks like by the picture, but I bet it looks really cool! My suggestion would be to wait on adding more metalic for at least a month or two... then you could live with it for a while before the whole house turns metal.
